Liferay is a global company with 20 offices worldwide and it is present in more than 40 countries through its partner ecosystem. Liferay Digital Experience Platform (Liferay DXP) gives businesses a complete view of their audience by providing a content management framework and through creating personalized digital experiences on mobile devices, desktops, or any other touchpoints in your company.
Liferay sought to incorporate some Analytics features into its Liferay DXP product. One of the features was to measure the engagement of users on their customer’s portal pages. Engagement is a term to describe any customer interaction on a page. Interacting with a component, time spent on the page, posting a comment, scrolling up or down the page are examples of actions user engagement.
Eleflow was hired by Liferay to develop a score that reflected the level of user engagement on its customers’ pages. We developed a model to calculate this score according to the interaction events of each page, which has been integrated into the beta version of the Liferay’s product.
